Position Overview:

The Aventri Professional Services team in the EMEA region is looking for a software trainer. Are you someone who is experienced in delivering training programmes on a SaaS technology platform? Do you have the ability to understand a customer’s event-based workflow and align their requirements with our software functionality? The end goal is to upskill customers so that they are competent in our modules, helping them to maximise their uptake and usage of all the benefits the Aventri system offers.


Are you technology focused and do you have a good understanding of, or willingness to learn digital event technology? As a contributor of the Professional Services team, it is essential that you are a team player and willing to ‘go the extra mile’ for customer satisfaction.


This role is perfect for a forward-thinking software trainer, one who thrives in a fast-paced environment with a combination of remote and on-site training delivery to clients. Key Responsibilities:


  • Deliver existing training programmes online and sometimes on-site
  • Continually improve on training packages
  • Develop customer relationships and assist with customer retention by acting in an advisory manner to ensure customers are maximising on all facets of our event software
  • Stay relevant to current training trends, developments and best practices while updating training products accordingly
  • Maintain, manage and create training documentation
  • Assist with the ongoing development of strategic plans and initiatives around training

Experience/Education Requirements:


  • At least 3-5 years of training experience for a software organisation – preferably in the events industry
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering training programmes
  • Experience with traditional and modern training methods
  • The ability to facilitate training both in person and in a virtual setting
  • Ability to develop and execute multi-phased, complex training programmes with various course offerings, formats, self-paced tutorials, objectives and learning paths
  • Ability to foster positive relationships both internally and externally and to leverage those relationships to drive results
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently on project initiatives, multi-task and effectively manage time in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of an organisation
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency; familiarity with web delivery tools
  • Knowledge and successful implementation of instructional design theory preferred
  • Up to 25% travel may be required, though travel will vary throughout the year depending on client commitments and job responsibilities
